when was last time
you saw fallen twig
with buds still cling;
walk over fallen leaves
after a fierce storm;
houses torn to pieces
there's sadness in me
thinking about these
child hold mudded doll
rain pour in her eyes
can't tell if she's crying
mother came with umbrella
broken, can still deflect
pouring rain; shoes soak
she carry child on her side
walk towards sweet home
