Picture Of You Poem by Marvo (Andy)

Picture Of You

I tore up each one of my pictures of you
But the one that's inside me remains
It's here in my heart and it goes to my head
Time and again and again
I try hard to fight it, but it is too strong
And slowly it gets its own way
You're dressed all in white, there's a smile on your face
But above you the clouds are all grey.
I loved you so much that I thought I would die
But I knew that I had to let go
To allow you to fly off and into the world
That you said you so needed to know
So where are you now? If not here by my side
I hope you look after my heart
I think of you often and try not to cry
But it feels like I'm falling apart - with my picture of you.
