Phantasm In Memory Poem by Low Li Ling Jasmine

Phantasm In Memory

I never known your face. What lay behind the facade
You are a intriguing mystery who comes & goes as you wish

You have seen my falling, you have seen my tears
As i rapt in my own contrition
You will come to me in the darkness & listen to my woes

When I lost in grief, your long bony fingers will swipe at a tear that threatened to bath the bitter curve of my lips
When you drawn me into your arms, endowing me with every scrape of warmth, untie the icy ribbon of fear that circles my heart
I feel ever so safe with you, even if it is the intimate silence between us, there will be no better sanctuary

What a story. What a dream. A phantasm in your life
The thrusting of punches couldnt fend off the words that seem to ring with truth
All I ask for is someone whom I can love
All I want is you
But you within reaching distance yet ever so distant
Are you just a phantasm in my memory?
