Phaethon Poem by Dillon McKenna

Phaethon

Rating: 3.5

Was there ever a cause of more mourning
Than that which burns by day and hides by night?
Of the power of Apollo's golden sphere
Won't you heed your father's warning?
As you took to the sky in liberating flight,
To that chariot's path you flew too near.
