Ph: Love: Your Missing Love Blooms My Heart

Your missing love blooms my heart,
Reminds me how lucky I am
With who knows how many others
Who’ve found themselves stuck in love’s jam.

The colors that fade from your rainbow
Are born again fresh in my tears
As they call up past loss in my own life
And the droughts at times lasting for years.

But now in the peace of Love’s garden
I find myself singing old song
Reminding that Love still surrounds us
When we somehow can’t sing along.

From pillar to post moves love’s victim
But there’s safety in choosing this maze
A bizarre kind of refuge from finding
A love that could fill up your days.

The courage to give heart to another
To throw expectations aside
No winning for those who won’t gamble,
No surprise for those full of pride.

Accepting the fact we’re not worthy
Can offer fresh soil to love’s seed,
The loss of our last ounce of judgment
May help others see past our greed.

To own up to what we contribute
Can open the floodgates of love
No blaming our sadness on others
No curses hurled at God above.

And if you would sample Love’s perfume
A garden is where you should look
No deep meditation in desert
Or mountain top view of life’s book.

So let us all search for the garden
Where man walked and talked with our Lord
His presence our eternal blessing,
All longings fulfilled by His Word.
