Ph: Faith: Who's To Blame For Pain? Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Faith: Who's To Blame For Pain?

Is pain a 'gift' from God or mostly life we've chosen?
First wife good sport, but needed more attentive male,
She wanted home and child (not clearly on my trail) ,
My second wife was spirit-filled, (loved me but gay) ,
Dreams, friends, and lover's child that died along the way,
Is it their fault that there are days I'm somewhat frozen?

Though scary to us, still we recognize as test,
That all our lives have expiration date,
Yes, some may call it cruel, others fate,
If God's not real though, death could still be win,
If God is real, Grace covers all man's sin;
Death motivates us too, to want to do our best.

I think 'God's gift of pain' His greatest gift to living!
Can joy be found in touch if murderers all fail?
What fragrance found in rose, if stench could tell no tale?
What music heard in songs, if breaking glass were banned?
What vision in new births, if death were contraband?
Oh, let me taste God's truth, and tasting, be forgiving!
