Ph: Evil: Darkness Too Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Evil: Darkness Too

Rating: 5.0

It is not a palpable thing
But an absence of: quite striking!
There is a coolness in its depths
That colors black and white
Into shades of grey
Reminiscent of the rainbow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Poet's Notes:
A visceral response to a first reading of a poem on PoemHunter.com by Soumita Sarkar called 'Darkness, ' a sense that even 'Darkness' itself plays a role in turning us toward the 'Light.' A sense as well that even at our brightest we are still not Light, in Grace though we may be.

The borders of good and bad are indeed very blurred. What is good here may be evil overthere and vice versa Thought provoking poem

Short but concise and striking message. Yes, darkness helps us to recognize the brightness of light. It is as significant as light itself. As our creator advises us to live our lives in transparency so as to enable others to 'read' our lives. As you have said already, it is by Grace that we come to see the light. This you put it better, It is not a palpable thing But an absence of: quite striking! Great and thoughtful poem. Good job!
