Perseverence Poem by Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski

Perseverence

Rating: 2.8

I ask even when I know
That I won't get an answer
I try so hard to
Just break down that emotional barrier
I know I won't succeed
But I still have to try
That's just a mountain that
I absolutely HAVE to climb
Even though I'm terrified of those heights
Cuz seeing you upset
It makes an ocean flow from my eyes
Especially when I'm helpless to change
The fact that you're in pain
I just can't bear to witness this
But I can't give up trying
Cuz I care so much
And I think the same
I'm sure I don't make a difference
And nobody would care if I was gone away
Maybe permanently. [I hope you don't think that: '(]
All the inner thoughts
You try so heavily to defend
I have those too
And because of them, I almost vanished
One of the reasons I stayed
Was because of you
I care too much about you and her
To ever be able to go away
Maybe that's one of the reasons
You two are the only ones
I can ever talk to
And be myself, for once
And let down my guard
But you never do
I just want to fix
This mess that's been made
Of your emotions
I try so hard to help
But you never let me
But I can't give up
Not for anything
