I watch, listen, intently, excitement brewing

All of life's little intricacies disappear,

The thoughts race, running fast as my favorites players

From Clemente to Tom Terrific, Ruth to Jordan, Speed and power

The scariest of the scary, strong, brave, men

I have a hero for every ball, foot, basket, base

Love is not the word to describe the poetry in motion,

I am forever a child, a young man, in the prime of every legendary

career that proceeds me, I am forever grateful, thank you earth,

thank you universe, thank you God, for the human body

Perpetual awe and wonder

Thank you
