Perfection Poem by Maranda Kuhl

Perfection

I looked into his eyes as he smiled and spoke to me. I couldn't look away, his smile made me want to fly. My heart started racing, I started to shake, and I got very nervous. I looked away, tearing my gaze from his beautiful brown eyes to look at the gray dirty tiled floor. He was perfect to me, he was kind, caring, thoughtful, and he was himself. Nothing more and nothing less, all I wanted was just to talk to him or just to be in the same room with him. I didn’t believe it when he said he had no friends, I thought to myself how could someone like him be talking to me and how could he possibly say he had no friends. I don’t know why but after I met him everything had just been happening in a line, like one thing after another. It was like it was leading up to something big, or at least that's what I hoped. Is it him, is that why everything is happening o fast and so perfectly. It has to be, maybe he’s the one i'm looking for...the one who might be able to save me...the one who...won't...leave.
