People And Places Poem by Paula Glynn

Just take a look around the people and places,
There are so many wonderful, strange,
And different faces,
For a world this diverse and creative,
Just blows me away,
And makes me want to paint a picture,
Even many pictures that depict this world,
And I don't just paint by numbers:
I use my skill and imagination to create a perfect world,
And I don't talk down, I look up at the sky,
I look to myself to see the reasons why,
As I get dizzy on the kids' round-about,
And I don't need to scream and shout,
I just need to know what this life is all about,
Because I don't have a huge ego,
Although I can dance the night away.

These are the days of our lives,
And we need to treasure every moment,
Because we are not trash,
No matter what they may say,
And I look forward to every summer,
And every Christmas,
Life an adventure to be lived,
Because we are all a national treasure,
And a prized beauty.
No one is superior and no one deserves fame,
And as we travel the world,
With all the diverse people and places,
We can find a solution to our problems,
We can experience different cultures and creeds,
And realise in our travelling experiences,
We can all live this life and succeed,
So I shall travel to many places,
And love the different styles of fashion,
And many creative faces,
For life should be celebrated,
And we should live each and every day to the full.
