Penetrating Logistics

Too short, she yelled, it's way too short,
I beg of you, you must abort.
Renewed attempts will illustrate
that size, well length, at any rate
does matter much in any sport!

He saw how futile it would be
she told him, if you would ask me,
so let it be for us a guide
it all comes down to length of stride.
You start by lifting up one knee.
