Peanut Friends Poem by Tony Adah

Peanut Friends

I stood still
They ate theirs
I kept mine
I stood still
They ate theirs
And I salivated
I ate mine like my dentures
Were in for a a dentist examination.
I left some for the next day
They watched me
Their mouths watered
They sighed
And I left them.
