Oh! Ali, the son of Abu Talib,
Today I have read your book ‘’Peak Of Eloquence ‘
And seen your pain and agony through which
You had gone from bottom to top in the journey of your life
I understand what treasure you have left for us
By the way you gathered experience
In dealing with friends and foes
Caprice and conspiracy, wrath and anger
Malice and lies in the lanes and by-lanes of power
Your heart might have gone through thousand cuts
Yet you have kept honesty at a great height
Your intense love for knowledge is like the man’s love for wealth
Your hate for ignorance is like our abhorrence of poverty
As it is the worst of death
And makes people stranger in their own land
You are more than right when you said
No wealth is more useful than intelligence
No solitude is more horrible than when people avoid us
For our vanity and conceit
No eminence is more exalting than piety
No companion can prove more useful than politeness
No knowledge is superior to deep thinking and prudence
No worship or prayers are more sacred than fulfilling obligations and duties
No religious faith is loftier than feeling ashamed of doing wrong
Nothing is more respectable than forgiveness and forbearance
No support or defense is stronger than consultation
And you correctly observed when you said that many people go
Without getting anything out of their fast
But hunger and thirst,
And out of their night prayers
They get nothing but exertions and sleepless nights
But a wise and sagacious person gets all the praise
Though he does not keep fast and sleep during nights
Oh! Ali, I salute you for your pearls of wisdom
And wisest guidance.

Peak of Eloquence is a book by the One who has the greatest degree of Knowledge...You have written on a grand subject, it was not at all an easy thing what you have done here in this poem about it...i would like to quote an Orientalist here: Gibbon, in The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire (Vol. V) says that.... the zeal and virtues of Ali were never out stripped by any recent proselyte. He united the qualification of a poet, a soldier and a saint. His wisdom still breathes in a collection of moral and religious saying; and every antagonist in the combats of tongue or of sword was subdued by his eloquence and valour. a great read, indeed! ! !

Very nice Abdul Bhai, Hazrat Ali(May Allah be pleased with him) is known for his generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies, and therefore is central to mystical traditions in Islam. Our illutrious Caliphs are role models for us.10/10
