Treasure Island

Lynne FincherSpringarden

Peaceful Savage

I burn my bridges ere I go
No road there be to home

Lost in an unfamiliar world
I do wander and I roam

Without a trail to find

I not be
Good company

For all of human kind

Perhaps I'll find a cave
In which to die and hide

One day a curious traveler
My ancient bones will find

Then my spirit will fly free
My heart will be at rest

And I will never fear again
Nestled safe in heaven's breast
