Peace Or Ashes!
Holy month had begun
Pious words to be uttered
How can one be calm
On seeing the killings..
It's just Killing of humanity within.
Peaceful planet we were blessed with
To enjoy its beauty serene.
One beautiful globe our earth is,
Where humanity is blown down to ashes!
Wars and battling for one's life going on.
Many are going to be dead and lifeless.
Just turn around and see,
Once when the war is over,
If any human being is left over,
If the war has not burnt everything down to ashes,
One can see all humanity is drained forever in the,
River flooded with blood and ashes.
No one will be left alive
To claim on further pieces of land.
No humans left over.
All will be the souls flying regretting
Over the earth that once looked so beautiful,
Today it looks dreaded and deserted ever!
Regretting for why they have remained a soul today
Had not they been killed
For reasons cannot be justified ever
For what and for why all this mess?
Just a six feet is dug deep down the soil
for one to be laid to peaceful rest.
All I can tell is
Why I am alive witnessing all these
Pitiful to see each blood shed and half lay dead.
Pitiful to see each cries battling for life.
All I can do is shed ample of tears
And pray to ease the pain of wounded ones.
And pray may their soul rest in peace
For the people who wanted to live in peace
But were killed against their Will!
Please think over again......Peace Or Ashes...

Note..Here the meaning of Soul means, after the people are dead.
Man can choose between life and death! Unfortunately we bring down doom on ourselves and also on others! If people were peace loving, how happy the Earth would have been! With very powerful weapons that can obliterate the world in seconds, who can predict if the entire mankind would be wiped away from the face of the earth and that this planet would be turned into a heap of ashes! Great write bringing out the horrors of war!
Everybody wants to live and if misfortune brought by man himself by showing pompous might we have to pay a heavy price........Geetha......... very well composed

People always want to live in peace. It is only few among them that disrupt peace with selfish motives. That leads to war and destruction. Beautiful poem thoughtfully developed. Thank you.

There are certain countries in the world with their economy based on sale of weapons. They sow seeds of disputes among underdeveloped countries. common people don't want wars they want to live in peace but the politicians need an enemy to exploit their beliefs and sentiments.

Most of us want peace. But there is a certain class that thrive on war and spoils of war. No one could convince them to want peace. Just pray that these people do not come to power more often.
Thank you Geetha to bring out the man made torture and griefs on this earth.An all out collective effort only can remove these oppressions and can bring peace again.
