Peace Poem by Patricia Grantham

Peace

Rating: 5.0

Like a needle in a haystack peace in the world is hard to find
Discord and unrest has taken its toll on most of mankind
You can close your eyes and your heart or choose to do nothing at all
Or you may choose the road to make peace and answer its every call

If the part that you play to make peace seems so very small
Remember it takes one step at a time to gain a mile at all
So answer to the call of peace when it beckons you to respond
Then peace will come to all of mankind in an inseparable bond

Short and succinct but very well penned. The message is very clear.

A peace is of the nature of a conquest; for then both parties nobly are subdued, and neither party loser. William Shakespeare one word...perfect

A beautiful plea for peace and maybe in your lifetime. Written with much sincerity. Reverent and prayerful

It takes one step at a time to gain a mile. Beautifully said. Peace must be built slowly but steadily. Thank you.

A wonderful poem, very inspiring and motivational. 'Or you may choose the road to make peace and answer its every call' - yes, that's what we all should do. Loved the last two lines: 'So answer to the call of peace when it beckons you to respond Then peace will come to all of mankind in an inseparable bond' - so motivational, thank you Pat!

Yes, time has come - PEACE is becoming a special possession like owning a ROLLS ROYCE car. But peace is fading away. On your leisure read me later.

There is so much unrest and hatred and victimization going on. Leaves one wondering who we can even trust anymore. Lots and lots of crime on the innocent is born of greed minus a conscience - so many think nothing of taking anothers life for profit... to me this is war. Attacks coming from people we may know. Have been through a horrendous time over the years... my story is like something you would see in the movies. But it is real... and it is scary. I long for the days of when i was a child and your friends were really your friends. Not some cabal that practices magic and courts the use of drugs to try and control their victims. Your write is thought provoking - and my story is something i wish could never happen to another human being, ever.

The world thirsts for peace! We are small people... but we too can contribute our small share towards building up a peaceful society. For that we have to keep peace within ourselves so that we can radiate it to others and slowly to the world writ large! A very poignant message! !
