Peace Poem by Elizabeth Russell

Peace

Rating: 2.2

I have often wondered
What kind of pain
Could make a person
Choose to give everything away
Make friends
Feel like strangers
Scorch a hundred lives
And gain
Only
Peace

Elizabeth, I have been confronted with suicide on a very close and personal level and this poem is a perfect tribute to how we (who remain) are left to feel. However, it is also a very delicate subject and hard to approach. I thought this was an excellent poem and gave it a 10. Your buddy Gyp

I do not know what kind of circumcised fruitcake gave you this rating (sorry about the language, but medical research has just revealed that circumcision does seem to reduce brain power due to an alexithymic conflict) . I will read more of your stuff and get back to you. H
