Peace Poem by Nightmist Moonshade

Peace

Peace is a virtue you have to earn with me,
It's not given as a passing glance,

With me friendship is something you have to try and break,
I'll never let you drown in your own misery or choke in the cramped reaches of the public.

I'll never forget what you've done for me,
but ill never forget how you ripped my love right out of my arms,
You tore the happiness id had for myself away to feed your own anger.

For this there will never be peace.

Once regarded as a friend
you've sworn off me like a drug,

Though it must have left your throat burning
to spit the acidic words in my face again as you left me in the rain,

Cold and alone my beaten body lifted itself to shelter,
For you never counted on the survivor,
Only the bloody child lying mangled at your feet

For this there will never be peace.

You try to deny all the wrongs you've done,
But now they're spread upon you face as my sister and i stand before you.

You never knew the love that had kept us together
or helped us find each other.
So tragically we survived with you as our tormentor

For this there will never be peace.

And as you lie to me now and say you've always been my friend.

For this there will never be peace.
