Pause Poem by Marilyn Jean

Pause

I pause just as quickly as the sun fades
Coming down on Sunday, in my blue corner
Tired, I sit finally down for today
I travel fast back to last week, slowly
Day by day or night, one after the other
You are with me I cannot shake it off
Turn around but go where, let go for what
I am trapped here, though not at all
And I smile inside looking back onto us
My pause truly is every second worth it
Now, a corner of me is so truly happy
