I sit here in anguish, tears streaming down my face
It hurts just to be in this horrid place
The reason I hate it, the reason I cry
The reason I hurt and want to die
Is simply the painful mem'ries of you
There was still so much for us to do
You said you want to forever be mine
Even through the bad the sun would still shine
But now my life is gloomy and dim
I start to remember, I start to re-live
Re-live all the things that we did and said
Why, tell me why, won't my heart just mend
Your wounds seem to be completely healed
You've shut me out, your mind is sealed
I'm just a girl whose heart you broke
Over you I'm sure many more pillows will be soaked
Just thinking of you hurts me more than a knife
There was never a struggle and never a strife
Yet you ended it all and I'm torn inside
I want to forget you, but still I cry
I cry because I love you and want you back
But you say it won't work, it would never last
Why not, I ask, we've done it before
Who knows what God could have in store
If it's meant to be, you'll come back, right?
Then I will spend no more lonely nights
I'll have someone to love me once more
With whom I will share the same adore
But you won't give it chance, you won't even try
You'd rather leave and watch me cry
You may not understand, but truth be told
I want you more than silver or gold
Cause without you right here by my side
I'm slowly but surely dying inside
I want you to see that, I want you to know
But no pain or anguish do you show
If you showed me you cared just the tiniest bit
It wouldn't hurt so bad, or so hard would it hit
But my guess is by now you're over me
But I will still love you and wait paitiently
