Passing Through Poem by Nathan Beery

Passing Through

Rating: 3.5

The silence echoes with every step-
Like the cries of Hell-
Everyday is just the same-
So passing through, you keep going-
When tedium grinds your mind to dust...

The silence embraces every step-
Like the waters of the shallow Hell-
Every life is just the same-
So passing through you just keep going-
Until you are erased-

One man said, everyday is the same-
A single Hell in itself-
Everyday is just the same-
So passing through, one just keeps going-
As tedium rattles the brain-

One man once said, to just keep going-
When you pass through Hell-
Everyday is just the same-
And passing through Hell, you just keep going-

There's no reason to run from life-
Even when life is Hell-
No reason to escape or flee-
Yes, everyday is just the same-
For better or worse it's better to just keep going-
It's a waste to stop-
So pass through even when life is a bitter Hell-
Why not just keep going? after all-
It's not to long-
Until you're done, just passing through-
And the day starts 'gain-
...So keep, keep on going-
