Passing By Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Passing By

I passed by and gave you a glance,
But you didn't see it.
In all it's glory, it was my love,
But you didn't recognize it.

I almost held you in imaginary arms,
But you didn't recognize this,
In all it's brightness, it was my passion,
But you couldn't get it.

I remember that one time you looked at me,
But it was a fleeting glance.
For that one moment,
My heart did dance.

But you didn't recognize it.
