Passengers Poem by Chukwuebuka Adebayo

Passengers

passengers in life, all we are
Passing thro'crooked earth together,
Up, up and down, up and down- -
Time, our faithful driver - zooming on;
One man is dismounting and waving goodbye
Two and three, rushing in from aside.

Passengers in life, all we are
each man alighting at somewhere;
Some at where their gods 'stops the helm'
Some for a reason known to them,
surely everyone has where his journey ends,
I too will soon get off like my friends.
