Parents Blind Eye Poem by Andrew Olson

Parents Blind Eye

my parents love me their son
my parents dont want me, their gay son

my dad loves me, his athlete
my dad refuses to acknowledge my bf

my parents give me nice things to show they love me
my parents wish me being gay would go away
(they have tried bribing me)

my parents do whats best for me because they love me unconditionally
they think they did good just not sending me to military school

my parents think i can have a great future
they said im gonna die depressed and alone

my parents love me but,
will never accept me for who I am

they say they love me
i see differently
