Parellel Lines And Stop Signs Poem by Jenna Marie

Parellel Lines And Stop Signs

We pardon the way
for deception and pain
as the world seems to melt away

Hoping to find
some sort of recognition
for the plans we thought out and made

Calling out words we never seemed to learn
to prove the point we desperately try to make

As the trees begin to sway
and we both begin to relay
of all our misconceptions today

Never striving for perfection
not wanting the truth
because all we ever wanted was
the one we love
the one we want is you

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Amazingly captivating title. Genius. That was so true, I love the last stanza, especially the line 'because all we ever wanted was the one we love'. It was... amazing, I don't know what else to say.
