Pardon Poem by Tiana AllSmiles

Pardon

There's a tale being told
Not a new tale, it's very old
When you're the one
Whose name is in the story
Then the story is new for you

There's a time they all blame you
And a time they want to shame you
Into taking all their anger
Out on you...

Well pardon me if I'm always crying
And pardon me if it seems I'm lying -
Pardon me, but I'm not buying
That I'm the only one
Here to blame...

Life's too short to play that game
You don't even call my name
But you can blame it all on me
If you want to...

I don't care anymore
I walked out that old door
Into a window bright and blue
Where the sun is shining all anew...

Days go by and you don't call
I don't even care at all
I've found all that's good in me
And you don't even want to see.

It's your loss, it's your pain
It's your cost, it's your game
You can win it, I don't care
I'm no longer even aware.

So go ahead, go away... go on go on,
this silly game you want to play....

What a tremendous declaration! While others weigh our faults, shouldn't they be careful to notice their fingers are on the scale? A very topical subject, especially in a time when bullying seems to be the new normal. Thanks for the reminder that words are indeed powerful weapons...shouldn't they be delivered, kind! Well done! PEACE
