Paranoid Poem by Payal Priya

Paranoid

Rating: 5.0

Rage beneath every smile
Hate cements the wall of every house
Fury corrodes and burns
Green patches of love long gone
Ashes and blood smear all
We all paranoids.
Doubting all, believing none
With bloodshot eyes
Continually looking at the watch
With nervously shaking hands,
That fail to pray.
The breeze of faith blows no long.
On the road, at the station,
In the examination hall
I see anxiety in the air.
A paranoia that cover all.
On the road, at the club
In the mirror,
I see paranoids.

Very well written poem, the rhythm of the lines creates a feel of stress and anxiety, I love the line 'with nervously shaking hands, that fail to pray, great work! Thank you
