Paramour Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Paramour

Rating: 5.0

I have seen your footsteps
In the sand of time; and cried like
A new born in the lap of the step mother;
I have smelled the aroma of your armpits
In the dream of my sleepless nights
And saw my reflection in the broken mirror
Of my dejected life;
Your name is written in my forehead
With the warm blood of your first cycle,
To label me as the youth unwonted
In the flashlights of social evenings
Where the glare made you the star;
I fell into nothingness like a shooting star
To be burnt live mid-way.

I have seen your footsteps In the sand of time; and cried like A new born in the lap of the step mother; ......fascinating beginning that attracts me to go through the poem in detail. It is really a beautiful devotional poem having philosophical ground. Thanks for sharing.
