Parallel



once upon a universe of parallel design
my heart resided in your arms and yours i kept in mine
your soul i stowed in lockets, your voice invaded my dreams
i guess that goes to show that nothing is as something seems

truths do bidding in disguise beneath the black of night
lies remain by day to let the truth escape from sight
but hidden in the shadow of the moon lit blue
i searched and found a let-me-down: a parallel you
