Paradise Poem by Ahmed Elbadri

Paradise

Laying down on a field of pure green grass not a strand out of order
Buildings are symmetrical with their counter part
Clouds are perfectly parted down the middle For everything there is a part that goes with it
I realized the line separating everything is beside me
I look but being blinded by the sun i only see a shadow
But without a doubt I know it's you
Your eyes shining brightly in the darkness
I stare for too long and I become lost in the blue clear ocean of your eyes
With a blink I am transported into the middle of the blue wonder
I am greeted with a feeling of warmth throughout my body
My skin is alight and shivers due to the silky texture of the ocean
Like in a story I see an island that is stunning and overwhelming
Not for its pure white sandy shore yet for its beautiful forset
With another blink I am transported into the middle of the forest
What I hear can never be recreated by any motzart of our generation
I have never felt music that was so calming yet powerful to the soul
As the music enters my soul memories of happiness start to resurface
It forces tears to trickle down
Tears a mother has when she holds her newborn knowing she will love them forever
The sun starts to disappear and i am forced to leave
I slowly start to feel my body leaving this paradise
I feel my eyes closing and i try to keep them open
With tremendous regret my eyes blink and i am forced to leave this paradise
I am teleported to the symmetrical world full of order
It dawns on me with a gentle kiss on my cheek
The paradise I felt I lost was in my arms staring back
