Paradigm Poem by Maurice Rowlands

Paradigm

To fit me into your shape
Your paradigm
It’s like rains from a distance
That fall from an angle
And winds blowing
from a place
you’re not willing
To seek out
And discover

I must recover
my space

Beyond time
Paradigm
I must see how I really shine

It’s like sunshine
That strikes on a dust-fleck
Like a planet spinning through space
And time

That one moment
To shine

This paradigm

It’s like an icicle
That falls and shatters
But never matters
To the scheme of what is to become

Alone

This shape
This paradigm

I must find out
Just where I ended

And especially

Where I begun
