Papaya Eyes Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Papaya Eyes

Desire
burns wider
than the vast astrays
of this galaxy
passions interchange
as the fires lash against
the atmosphere
teasing to become more
than the mere sunlight
thats seen in the day
it wakes to be seen at night
as oblivion devours
my lips
the candles
that ignite the prayers
that seperate you from my dreams
that become isomaic
day becomes night
revealing all cobwebs
that once were unseen
begging to become the fire
that is your touch
begging to spark the blaze
that the gods theirselves
would fear to touch
oasis
everything around us
eradicates into nothingness
the sealed silence that stares
into your eyes after every smile
days that long to become
eternity
seconds that yearn to drown
into the oceans of timeless bliss
seconds that yearn to drown in eternity
