Painfully Shy Poem by Meghan

Painfully Shy

he sits there
across the room
and when I turn to look at him
his eyes quickly dart away
not partaking in the conversation
only sitting
twisting the piece of rope around in his hands
shy, painfully shy
I almost wish he'd be more upfront and open
but I am intrigued and admire
how reserved he is
