Painful Goodbyes Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Painful Goodbyes

Heart slowly beating
Disease spreading
Mind slowly turning off
He's scared
and so am I
But he's ready for it
We await death's approach as he weakens
I cant stand it
Watching him die is the worse thing imaginable
and here i am commiting that sin
He gets worse
as his hour arrives
signing into the world of words one last time
to say goodbye
And now he's gone i havent got anything left
a lifeless shell
waiting for my own death
waiting to be with him again
