Pain Tip Toeing Out Poem by angel lockheart

Pain Tip Toeing Out

So happy am I,
That with Time,
Pain passes by,
Though first as agonizing
As your soul being ripped out,
And searing tears breaking through
As though they might just drown you,
Your skin going as cold
As though you have no life left,
Your body trembling
As though your heart is trying to escape its imprisonment,
Your eyes stinging,
As though someone has set fire to them.
But gently,
Agonizingly,
Warily,
Bit by bit the pain edges out,
Creeping,
Slinking,
Tip toeing,
It goes to find another victim,
Leaving only in its wake,
Exhaustion,
Contentment,
&
Ecstasy.
