Pain Of Forbiddance Poem by Katherine Graven

Pain Of Forbiddance

Rating: 5.0

I gaze your way… You turn away
But still it is in your eyes what you cannot say
So we hide the truth we are denying
We want to touch… We want to feel
We want our yearning love to become real

The illicit dreams of you are floating in
I wantonly reach out to you allowing you to take my hand
Your handsome features have come in to focus this time
Now I know for sure you are the one who is suppose to be mine

For once you allow your soul to gaze magically into my eyes
And now everything about true love is visualized
Our lips are parched needing passionately caressed
By the moistness of our neediness

Your name I knew before I met you
Your golden hued eyes where always before me
Your cries of loves forbidden anguish I hear, is devastating
Clinging to my forbidden burning of desire I possess for you

This touch is forbidden in this life of reality
In this lifetime this love has no place for you and me
So again God has shown what is taboo and will never be
Leaving with it this heartache of my forbidden burning desire
to smother me
