Pain Poem by Kelly Batson

A pain I can feel,
But cannot touch.
A pain that I know,
But cannot describe.
A pain that is fierce,
I feel completely insane.

The drowning pain,
That clutched to my heart,
And burns down my soul.
The distorted pain,
That clouds my mind,
And devours my every thought.
The pain of broken promises,
Broken dreams and shallow lies.

The pain that is unheard of,
Unseen and unspoken.
A different kind of pain,
Only I know all too well.
A pain I can no longer feel,
My revival left me numbed
