Page By Page Poem by Katherine Perry

Page By Page

I often wonder what life would be
If Jesus didn't set an example
But he loved us enough so that we could see
That the time he gives to us is ample

As our years go by
We so gracefully age
Listening and learning from the wise
And reading his words of truth page by page

Though still we are sinners
As we try and find a better way
But it is not seen until we surrender
Knowing it is through his love
That will make us better days

We lift our hands to feel his touch
We bow our heads to pray
Then try to understand why he loves us so much
We become speechless in knowing what to say

We try and give him all of ourselves, or can we
Because of the wordly things that get in the way
And still the reasons kept inside of you and me
Makes it hard to carry him in our hearts from day
to day

So let us continue to count the blessings he has
given you and me
And remember the unconditional love he has that
keeps us safe
For he is truley the king above all kings
And we'll someday be in the presence of his grace!
