Overture Pastorale Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

Overture Pastorale

Rating: 5.0

(dedicated to Mr. Seiji Ozawa, a great Japanese conductor)

fish
birds
beasts
insects

the way plants grow
penetrated to their essential
a positively divine understanding
May Heaven, that grants me long life

flowers are blossoming in Spring gardens
butterflies and bees are dancing around
voice of rivers and wind are gorgeous
May Heaven, that grants me love

branches of trees
leaves of grass
moonlight
the sun

(inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's Red Fuji)

Pastoral love baring its bosom to embrace. Shiddiui, you are poet par excellence. Your poetry is not only a feast of words but it is also a feast to the eyes and ears, Your arrangement of words paints pictures and also creates musical waves. God bless you. CP

You captured a part of nature, as a branch of a tree with leaves.
