Over The High Cliff Edge



Over the high cliff edge
The Poet-Seer looked
Below shrieked the giddying whirlpool
Of waves in the rock cleft:
Behind
Over the rocky plains droned
The humming bees
Solitary in the drear routine
But we humans are not so different
Only
The brain gives sparks of light that differentiate
The brain only
Practically:
Over the high cliff edge
The Poet-Seer looked
Below shrieked the giddying whirlpool
Of waves in the rock cleft:
