Outstanding Praise Poem by Mary Sherrell Wesmorland

Outstanding Praise

To the tree blossoms
To smooth baby bottoms
Where footprints splatter the sand
Where tambourines sound in the band
For a special day to never end
For broken hearts that mend
How roses open to the sun
How bubbles spark some fun
When rain produces a rainbow
When little ones make angels in the snow
As vows are taken by lovers to join as one
As birds peck at breadcrumbs 'til there are none
may outstanding praise go to all our simple joys
So delight touches the world's girls and boys
May the youngster in us all count our blessings
Before we sleep, at meals, and after a day's toilings
