Outside Poem by Peter Sugura

Outside

Rating: 4.5

The rain falls
The trees drink
I sit to hear rain fall close, and far
The fog slowly pulled up, back to the sky
But not before they give the trees one last goodbye
Rain mixes with the soil
Releasing a long overdue earthy smell
The rain falls on me, immerse me
Slowly trickling to the dirt
Leaving pieces of me outside
