Out There ..... Poem by Valerie Dohren

Out There .....

Rating: 5.0

Out there, deep in cyberspace,
Breathing out in bits and bytes
Through the ether there we go
You and me as flashing lights

No more letters in the post
Licked and sealed with love then kissed -
All that be is as a wraith
Drifting through the dim dark mist

Switch it on and let it load -
Up or down, as it may be,
See the pictures on the screen -
Virtual reality!

Reality? O what and where
Does this concept now reside -
Is it set in distant realms -
In us still, or there outside?

Do you have a question dear?
Here all knowledge now is set -
Do not reach into your soul
Find it on the internet

Very true! With our eyes closely shut against the actual realities around, we are glued to the virtual reality, you and I alike without exception! A splendid write!

A great reminder of the times in which we now live. And no matter how convenient, I won't forget the former hands-on times.

Oh, how topical and poignant, Valerie! ... yet, through the invisible, from screen to screen, our words and souls are able to meet each other.
