Out On The Town Poem by Daniel P Martin

Out On The Town

Rating: 5.0

Heading for town,
Decked out in gown,
Sorrows to drown,
In Ale of dark brown,
Appointment with mate,
Arrive after eight
Fashionably late,
With charm to create,
Perchance to dance,
To instigate romance,
Sadly to prance,
With soil in pants,
Origin clear;
Must be the beer,
Doorman appears,
Out on one’s ear.
Beginning to list,
Pretty lady assists,
Unexpected kiss,
Marvellous twist!
