Out Of The Blue Poem by steven mitchell

Out Of The Blue

Rating: 4.5

It races along not a care in the world
Like an old schooner mainsails unfurled
Up top all is calm, little too calm perhaps
Then it starts to unravel and fears a collapse
Fresh fear up above drives it on faster below
Now it's beating faster than a neutrino
Palm's are now sweating as the heart beats so fast
The head has a death-grip now onto the main mast
Panic and terror now so overwhelm
We're out of control heads abandoned the helm
I've been thru this before time and again
But still doesn't matter think I'm dying again
Eventually waves of panic reduce to an ebb
Hearts back in calm waters, control of helm with the head.

A lovely poem that rhymes well. I have a similar poem, I Dreamed A Dream.
