Out Of Sight Poem by Robert Mahoney

Out Of Sight

Out of Sight

I.... could've sworn i heard the calling
Of my name
In the dark of the cold, wet night
But there's no one in sight
So I beseech the darkness
Is anybody there?
But an echo on the frozen wind
Is the only reply

'Cause I'm
So far beyond the light
So lost I'm out of sight
And I can't see who I am
Anymore

I.... can't believe no one could hear me
As I screamed
In the dark of the cold wet night
Unless they just don't care
So I cry out in the silence
Does anybody care?
But an echo on the frozen wind
Is the only reply

'Cause I'm
So far beyond the light
So lost I'm out of sight
And I can't see who I am
Anymore

As I voice my pain
In this empty house
No one can hear me
I know I'm not insane
But I wonder why
No one can see me
As I stand alone
And I ask myself
How I'm still breathing

When I'm
So far beyond the light
So lost I'm out of sight
And I can't see who I am
Anymore
Yeah I'm
So far beyond the light
So lost I'm out of sight
And I can't see who I am
Anymore!
