Life is a blessing which gives us so much joy and hope, beauty and charm, love and friendship, though sometimes with a tinge of gloom and sorrow. 4 - ok, the poem does give some responsibility for individuals to work on having good lives, not always expecting great (or even good) days. bri :) line 5: i'm glad the poet did NOT push for a rhyming end word line 6: i suggest " ..sacrifice is now..." line 11: i suggest " in store" , not " in wait"

3- " welkin's bow" ? i had to Google search. i think it may refer to a rainbow. " welkin" : " In older cosmology this was thought to be one of a set of real crystal spheres that enclosed the Earth" [i bet Valsa has read Shakespeare and other OLD writers' stuff] the “sphere”, I think, may be called a “bowl” also.
