Our Ghosts Rich In Health Poem by Jay Bradley

Our Ghosts Rich In Health

We see our ghosts rich in health
Riding on white horses
Riding away and away
Through night and day
Sin and vice
Night and day
It's all the same
On elavators and escalators
It's all the same
Our ghosts rich in health
It's all the same

We see our ghosts rich in health
Riding through pain
Riding away and away
Through night and day
Grief and vain
Night and day
It's all the same
On trances and planes
It's all the same
Our ghosts rich in health
It's all the same

And who am I
With the spotted eye
To see
To die?

And who am I
With the coroners' cry
To wheep
To whine?

And who am I
With the mourners' dye
To sleep
To dine?

And who am I
With the sinner's sigh
To be
To dry?

We see our ghosts rich in health,
Riding with wisdom
Riding away and away
Through night and day
Ying and yang
Night and day
It's all the same
On light and void
It's all the same
Our ghosts rich in health
It's all the same

We see our ghosts rich in health,
Riding in wealth
Riding away and away
Through night and day
Drop and gain
Night and day
It's all the same
On dime and buck
It's all the same
Our ghosts rich in health
It's all the same
