Our Flag Poem by Anthony Shurland Phillander

Our Flag

Whenever we see our flag fluttering in the wind
Our chest rises to the sky and our hearts fills with pride
Naturally we get high seeing our flag on flagpoles waving high
Our flag waves welcome and it's such a delight

Our joy and our pride is all wrapped up in our flag
In the thrill of victory our flag flies high
In the agony of defeat our flag stands steadfast
We may sometimes bow but our flag always flies proud

Whenever we see our flag fluttering in the wind
Words alone cannot express the passion we feel at its sight
A nation cohesive and triumphant behind none do we lag
Always on the forefront and this shows in the majesty of our flag

Our joy and our pride is all wrapped up in our flag
Our soldiers our athletes our authorities
Our citizens reveres our flag
For the integrity of our flag we live and die

Our flag has been to the outer limits
That's where our aspirations are taking us
We are confident we will reach our destination
Our flag represent every one of us

Our flag in our flag we take pride.
